The Lions Club of Carmi is preparing for another pancake breakfast on February 17. This Club has historically held monthly breakfasts to support not only their own fundraising efforts, but those of other community organizations, as well.
The proceeds from this month’s event will support the MaMa T Fund. This scholarship program, in honor of Tammy Pollard, supports students going into the nursing profession. According to the website, Tammy was “steadfast in her commitment to nursing and passionate about the compassion that all nurses should have toward their patients.” The Fund’s goal is to empower those who obtain a nursing degree to carry on Tammy’s legacy of compassionate care.
The trend of record-breaking attendance continued with the recent breakfast supporting the Pregnancy Help Center. The Club is grateful for this outstanding support and hopes that folks will continue to participate in these efforts to give back to important causes in our community.
This meal is FREE for kids 5 and under, with a cost of $5 for all other attendees. There will be all-you-care-to-eat pancakes, sausages, biscuits and gravy. Tickets may be purchased from Lions Club members or at the door of the event.
The public is invited to join the Club on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 7am-10am. Our Lions Den address is 305 1st St.
