Egyptian Health Department Reports 9 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

Egyptian Health Department was notified, over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 9 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (7)
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 2 males in their 30’s
    • 2 males in their 40’s
    • 2 females in their 50’s

 

  • White County (2)
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,068 lab confirmed positives, including 14 deaths, 2,287 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,709 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,583 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 479 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 454 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. Yesterday, IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,442 new confirmed cases and 33 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,198,335 confirmed cases and 20,763 deaths in Illinois.
