Egyptian Health Department Reports 9 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

Egyptian Health Department was notified, over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 9 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

• Saline County (7)
  • 1 female in her teens
  • 2 males in their 30’s
  • 2 males in their 40’s
  • 2 females in their 50’s

• White County (2)
  • 1 female in her 40’s
  • 1 male in his 40’s

To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,068 lab confirmed positives, including 14 deaths, 2,287 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,709 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,583 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 479 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 454 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
