Egyptian Health Department was notified Wednesday, of 8 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (4)
- 1 female in her teens
- 2 males in their 50’s
- 1 female in her 60’s
- White County (4)
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 1 female in her 40’s
- 1 female in her 50’s
- 1 male in his 80’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,532 lab confirmed positives, including 49 deaths, 2,388 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,732 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,651 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 487 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 460 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,655 new confirmed cases and 17 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,213,765 confirmed cases and 20,988 deaths in Illinois.
