Egyptian Health Department Reports 8 New COVID-19 Cases Thursday

Egyptian Health Department was notified Thursday of 8 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (4)
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 1 female in her 70’s

 

  • White County (4)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s
    • 1 male; age demographics unknown-case status in progress

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,579 lab confirmed positives, including 50 deaths, 2,498 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,753 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,697 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 496 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 487 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 3,526 new confirmed cases and 25 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,248,111 confirmed cases and 21,326 deaths in Illinois.
