Egyptian Health Department Reports 8 New COVID-19 Cases Thursday

The Egyptian Health Department was notified, on Thursday, of 8 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (5)
    • 2 females in their 20’s
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s

 

  • White County (3)
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,444 lab confirmed positives, including 47 deaths, 2,283 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,691 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,577 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 477 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 453 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,884 new confirmed cases and 32 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,181,226 confirmed cases and 20,406 deaths in Illinois.
