Egyptian Health Department Reports 7 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

The Egyptian Health Department was notified, over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 7 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

• Saline County (3)
  • 2 females in their 40’s
  • 1 female in her 60’s

• White County (4)
  • 1 female in her teens
  • 1 male in his teens
  • 1 male in his 20’s
  • 1 male in his 50’s

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,454 lab confirmed positives, including 47 deaths, 2,283 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,699 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,577 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 478 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 453 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
