Egyptian Health Department Reports 6 New COVID-19 Cases Friday

The Egyptian Health Department was notified Friday of 6 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (3)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 2 females in their 20’s

 

  • Gallatin County (1)
    • 1 male in his 30’s

 

  • White County (2)
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,565 lab confirmed positives, including 50 deaths, 2,467 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,742 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,684 have recovered and Gallatin County has a total of 493 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 481 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 3,002 new confirmed cases and 33 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,232,900 confirmed cases and 21,203 deaths in Illinois.
