Egyptian Health Department Reports 5 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified Tuesday of 5 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (4)
    • 1 male under the age of 10
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 60’s

 

  • White County (1)
    • 1 female; age demographics unknown- case status in progress

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,465 lab confirmed positives, including 47 deaths, 2,284 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,704 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1, 577 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 478 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 453 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,577 new confirmed cases and 47 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,189,416 confirmed cases and 20,583 deaths in Illinois.
