Egyptian Health Department was notified, on Monday, of 49 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County (30)
- 1 female under the age of 5
- 1 male under the age of 5
- 1 female under the age of 10
- 2 females in their teens
- 1 male in his teens
- 3 females in their 20’s
- 2 males in their 20’s
- 4 females in their 30’s
- 2 males in their 30’s
- 2 females in their 40’s
- 2 females in their 50’s
- 3 males in their 50’s
- 3 females in their 60’s
- 2 females in their 70’s
- 1 male in his 70’s
- Gallatin County (4)
- 1 male in his 20’s
- 1 female in her 60’s
- 1 female in her 80’s
- 1 female; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.
- White County (15)
- 1 male in his 20’s
- 1 female in her 30’s
- 3 males in their 30’s
- 2 females in their 40’s
- 2 males in their 50’s
- 2 females in their 60’s
- 2 males in their 60’s
- 1 female in her 80’s
- 1 male in his 80’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,006 lab confirmed positives, including 20 deaths, 431 have recovered, White County has had a total of 473 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 213 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 189 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 102 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. Yesterday, IDPH recommends, over the next three weeks, stay home as much as possible, leaving only for necessary and essential activities, such as work that must be performed outside the home, COVID-19 testing, visiting the pharmacy, and buying groceries.
IDPH announced that Illinois has 11,632 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 37 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 585,248 confirmed cases and 10,779 deaths in Illinois.
