Egyptian Health Department Reports 45 New COVID-19 Cases Monday and 1 White County Death

Egyptian Health Department was notified of a White County resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the family.

 

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Monday of 45 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County
    • 2 females in their teens
    • a male in his teens
    • a female in her 20’s
    • 3 females in their 30’s
    • 2 males in their 30’s
    • a male in his 40’s
    • 2 females in their 50’s
    • a male in his 50’s
    • 5 females in their 60’s
    • 4 males in their 60’s
    • 3 females in their 70’s
    • 4 males in their 70’s
    • a female in her 80’s
    • 2 males in their 80’s
    • 3 females in their 90’s
  • Gallatin County
    • a male in his 50’s
    • a female in her 60’s
    • a male in his 60’s
  • White County
    • a female in her 30’s
    • a female in her 40’s
    • a male in his 40’s
    • a female in her 60’s
    • 2 males in their 60’s
    • a female in her 80’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 630 lab confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 355 have recovered, White County has had a total of 293 lab-confirmed positives, including 6 deaths, 195 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 125 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 85 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois has 4,729 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 17 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 378,985 confirmed cases and 9,522 deaths in Illinois.
