Egyptian Health Department Reports 41 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Tuesday of 41 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (18)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 2 females in their 30’s
    • 2 females in their 40’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s
    • 2 females in their 60’s
    • 3 males in their 60’s
    • 2 females in their 70’s
    • 4 females; age demographics unknown- case status in progress.
    • Please note: a male was transferred to their local health department.

 

  • Gallatin County (4)
    • 2 males in ther 20’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s

 

  • White County (19)
    • 2 females in their teens
    • 2 females in their 20’s
    • 2 females in their 30’s
    • 1 male in his 30’s
    • 2 females in their 40’s
    • 2 females in their 50’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s
    • 2 females in their 70’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s
    • 2 females; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.
    • Please note: a female was transferred to their local health department.

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,248 lab confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 521 have recovered, White County has had a total of 698 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 280 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 223 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 127 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????? or ????????????????– you should still ?????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois has 12,542 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 125 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 738,846 confirmed cases and 12,403 deaths in Illinois.
