Egyptian Health Department Reports 23 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Tuesday of 23 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County
    • a male under the age of 10
    • 3 females in their 30’s
    • a male in his 40’s
    • 2 females in their 60’s
    • a male in his 60’s
    • 2 females in their 70’s
    • a male in his 70’s

 

  • Gallatin County
    • a male in his 30’s
    • 2 females in their 60’s
    • 2 males in their 60’s
    • a female in her 70’s

 

  • White County
    • a female in her 20’s
    • 2 males in their 40’s
    • a female in her 50’s
    • a male in his 60’s
    • a male in his 80’s
    • Please note: a female, in her 40’s, reported 10/24/2020, has been transferred to their local health department.

To date, Saline County has had a total of 641 lab confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, 359 have recovered, White County has had a total of 298 lab-confirmed positives, including 6 deaths, 195 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 132 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths, 90 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????? or ????????????????– you should still ?????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results.  Help stop the spread of COVID-19 in your community.

IDPH announced that Illinois has 4,000  new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 46 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 382,985 confirmed cases and 9,568 deaths in Illinois.

Wash your hands
Watch your distance (6 ft!)

Wash your hands frequently. Wear a face covering if you have to go out. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Remain 6 feet apart from others.
