Egyptian Health Department Reports 2 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified Wednesday of 2 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
  • Saline County
    • 1 female in her teens

 

  • Gallatin County
    • 1 female in her 70’s
To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,558 lab confirmed positives, including 49 deaths, White County has had a total of 1,741 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, and Gallatin County has a total of 491 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 2,793 new confirmed cases and 20 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,227,708 confirmed cases and 21,136 deaths in Illinois.
