Egyptian Health Department Reports 16 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified Wednesday, of 16 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (8)
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 2 males in their 50’s
    • 1 female in her 70’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s

 

  • Gallatin County (1)
    • 1 male in his 20’s

 

  • White County (7)
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 2 females in their 70’s

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,509 lab confirmed positives, including 48 deaths, 2,300 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,720 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths, 1,590 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 483 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 455 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,682 new confirmed cases and 30 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,202,709 confirmed cases and 20,810 deaths in Illinois.
