Egyptian Health Department Reports 16 New COVID-19 Cases Wednesday

Egyptian Health Department was notified Wednesday, of 16 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (7)
    • 2 females under the age of 10
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s
    • 1 female in her 80’s

 

  • Gallatin County (3)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s

 

  • White County (6)
    • 1 male in his 40’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 1 male in his 60’s
    • 1 female in her 70’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,389 lab confirmed positives, including 43 deaths, 1,270 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,662 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 753 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 463 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 263 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 2,825 new confirmed cases and 53 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,152,995 confirmed cases and 19,739 deaths in Illinois.
