Egyptian Health Department Reports 15 New COVID-19 Cases Monday

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Monday of 15 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

  • Saline County (4)
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 female; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.

 

  • Gallatin County (2)
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.

 

  • White County (9)
    • 1 female under the age of 10
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 3 males in their 70’s
    • 2 males; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,293 lab confirmed positives, including 42 deaths, 1,202 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,580 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 696 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 451 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 254 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 2,312 new confirmed cases and 16 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,128,613 confirmed cases and 19,259 deaths in Illinois.
