Egyptian Health Department Reports 12 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend

Egyptian Health Department was notified, over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), of 12 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:

 

  • Saline County (5)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 2 males in their 70’s

 

  • Gallatin County (2)
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s

 

  • White County (5)
    • 2 males in their 30’s
    • 1 male in his 40’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 70’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,401 lab confirmed positives, including 44 deaths, 1,360 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,669 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 852 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 468 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 4 deaths, 275 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

 

 

To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????????????????????? or ????????????????????????????????– you should still ???????????????????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 1,631 new confirmed cases and 35 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,162,154 confirmed cases and 19,961 deaths in Illinois.
