Egyptian Health Department Reports 1 Saline County Death; 32 New COVID-19 Cases

Egyptian Health Department was notified of a Saline County Resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the family.

 

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Tuesday of 32 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

  • Saline County (9)
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 1 male over the age of 100
    • 2 males; age demographics unknown-case status in progress.

 

  • Gallatin County (1)
    • 1 male in his 40’s

 

  • White County (22)
    • 3 females under the age of 10
    • 1 male under the age of 10
    • 2 females in their teens
    • 1 male in his teens
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 20’s
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 1 female in her 40’s
    • 2 males in their 40’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 2 females in their 60’s
    • 2 males in their 60’s
    • 2 females in their 70’s
    • 2 males in their 80’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,302 lab confirmed positives, including 43 deaths, 1,202 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,602 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 696 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 452 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 254 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 2,304 new confirmed cases and 47 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,130,917 confirmed cases and 19,306 deaths in Illinois.
