Egyptian Health Department Reports 1 Saline County Death; 23 New COVID-19 Cases Friday

Egyptian Health Department was notified of a Saline County Resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Egyptian Health Department is saddened by this news and their thoughts are with the family.

 

Egyptian Health Department was notified on Friday of 23 Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).  They include…

 

  • Saline County (4)
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 1 female in her 80’s

 

  • Gallatin County (1)
    • 1 female in her 70’s

 

  • White County (18)
    • 1 female under the age of 10
    • 1 male under the age of 10
    • 1 female in her teens
    • 2 males in their teens
    • 1 female in her 20’s
    • 1 female in her 30’s
    • 2 females in their 30’s
    • 1 female in her 50’s
    • 1 male in his 50’s
    • 1 female in her 60’s
    • 2 males in their 60’s
    • 3 females in their 70’s
    • 1 female in her 80’s

 

To date, Saline County has had a total of 2,276 lab confirmed positives, including 42 deaths, 1,192 have recovered, White County has had a total of 1,560 lab-confirmed positives, including 24 deaths, 688 have recovered, and Gallatin County has a total of 448 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 3 deaths, 253 have recovered. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

IDPH announced that Illinois had a total of 4,156 new confirmed cases and 71 additional deaths. Bringing the total of 1,120,528 confirmed cases and 19,138 deaths in Illinois.
