Egyptian Health Department was notified of a Saline County resident who has passed away due to complications of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We, at Egyptian Health Department, are saddened by this news and our thoughts are with the family.
Egyptian Health Department was notified on October 10, 2020, of thirteen Southeastern Illinois residents who have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individuals include:
- Saline County
- a female, under the age of 5, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her teens, at home and in isolation
- a male, in his 30’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 40’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 40’s, case status in progress
- a female, in her 40’s, case status in progress
- a male, in his 50’s, case status in progress
- a female, in her 80’s, case status in progress
- Please note: a female, in her 20’s, reported 10/12/2020 has been transferred to their local health department
- Gallatin County
- a female, in her 20’s, case status in progress
- a female, in her 30’s, at home and in isolation
- a female, in her 50’s, case status in progress
- a male, in his 50’s, at home and in isolation
- a male, in his 70’s, hospitalized
- White County
- Please note: a female, in her 30’s, reported 10/9/2020 has been transferred to their local health department
To date, Saline County has had a total of 477 lab confirmed positives, including 7 deaths, White County has had a total of 214 lab-confirmed positives, including 1 death, and Gallatin County has a total of 98 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.
*Case status in progress means that Contact Tracers are currently making contact with the COVID-19 positive case to determine where the individual is located (ie: at home or hospitalized).
If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test– ???????????????? or ????????????????– you should still ?????????????? until you receive your lab-confirmed results.
