The Edwards County Farm Bureau Foundation recently announced their 2024 Vocational & Trades Scholarship winners. This year $3,000 was awarded in scholarship funds.
Jaden Schwarzlose was awarded a $1,500 scholarship. Matthew Bare was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Jacob Weber was awarded $500 scholarship.
Jaden plans to study auto mechanics at Olney Central College. He is the son of David and Pam Schwarzlose of West Salem.
Matthew is studying welding at Olney Central College. He is the son of Brandon and Jessica Bare of West Salem.
Jacob plans to study welding and electrical at Rend Lake College. He is the son of Daniel and Tonya Weber of West Salem.
This is the third year the Foundation has offered a Vocational & Trades Scholarship. Including this year, the Foundation has given out $6,500 in vocational & trades scholarships to Edwards County residents. The purpose of this scholarship is to support Edwards County residents earning a certificate or degree in a vocational or trades field that will benefit agriculture.
