The Carmi-White County boys track team took part in the Roger Lee Track Invitational on Monday, and it was an outstanding effort by the Bulldogs who finished in 2nd Place with a team score of 120. Just 3 points behind victorious Fairfield.
Beck Huff finished 3rd and Nelson Rider finished 5th in the 100 Meter Race.
Huff finished 1st in the 200 Meter Race with a time of 23.60.
Jayde Albright finished 1st in the 400 Meter Race with a time of 53.34.
Andrew Benham finished 2nd in 1600 Meter Race with a time of 5:03.90.
Lane Connaway finished 3rd in the 3200 Meter Race with a time of 11:08.90.
Kale Wiggins finished 3rd in the 110 & 300 Meter Hurdles.
The Bulldogs 4×1 Relay Team of Wiggins, Huff, Noah Pollard and Nelson Rider finished in 1st Place with a time of 45.28.
The 4×2 Relay Team of Pollard, Huff, Jazz Duckworth and Kade Stockton finished in 4th Place with a time of 1:39.08.
The 4×4 Relay team of Trey Dixon, Macen Haywood, Brody Brown and Jayde Alrbight finished in 4th Place with a time of 3:59.70.
The 4×8 Team of Lane Connaway, Luke Bolerjack, Trey Dixon and Andrew Benham finished in 1st Place with a time of 9:26.30.
Gavin Peyton finished 4th in Shot Put with a throw of 43’4″.
Nelson Rider finished 3rd (124’7″) and Peyton finished 4th (118’8″) in Discus.
Connor Benham placed 3rd in Pole Vault, reaching 9 feet.
Mitchel Edwards finished in 1st Place in High Jump with a leap of 6’5″, which is a new CWCHS record.
The previous record of 6′ 4 3/4″ had been held by Darrell Wilson since 1980.
The Bulldogs will host the CWC Invite next Tuesday at Harrington-Jeffries Sports Complex.
