A Carmi woman appeared in White County Court via zoom this morning for a bond hearing after being arrested for drug possession. At around 10:30PM Friday an officer with the Carmi Police Department arrested 36 year old Christina McKay of Ellen Drive for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Hypodermic Syringes. A bail review has been set for March 27th at 9:30 AM. A preliminary hearing for McKay has been set for April 12th at 10 AM.
45 year old William Browning of Commerce Street was arrested Saturday after a complaint was signed against him. Wadie Issawi of Main Street signed the complaint for Criminal Damage to Property. Browning was located at Rock Bottom and was taken into custody by an officer with the Carmi Police Department. Browning paid $100 bond plus a $20 booking fee and was released.
On Sunday evening, officers with the Carmi PD arrested 30 year old Lee Linder of Main Street on an Edwards County Warrant for Aggravated Identity Theft, a class 2 felony. Linder is being held in the White County Jail on $1,000 cash bond. No court date has been set at this time.
