Drain replacement at Crab Orchard Dam on Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge

Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge will be conducting drain replacement on Crab Orchard Dam. The work is scheduled to begin November 2, 2015 and is expected to last through the end of November. Roads will remain open, but traffic control will be in place and some delays may occur.

Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge is part of the National Wildlife Refuge System which is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
