Domestic Battery Sends Carmi Man to Jail

Collin Ingram was placed under arrest after White County Sheriff deputies responded to an active physical Domestic Battery involving a baseball bat.

Once officers arrived, they talked to Jamie Collins who stated that her and Ingram were in an argument when he spat in her face, grabbed her throat and pushed her up against the wall, resulting in Jamie grabbing a baseball bat for self-defense.

Ingram was asked by deputies what had transpired with Ingram saying that he and Jamie were in each other’s faces, when Jamie grabbed the baseball bat, Ingram claimed that’s when he pinned her against the wall.

Red marks were visible on Jamie’s throat and chest. A witness told police that he did not see who started the altercation, but said he did try to break Ingram and Jamie apart.

At the end, Ingram was placed under arrest for Domestic Battery.
