The 2024 White County 4-H fair was kicked off with a nice morning of clean up at the floral hall and livestock barn. Then the dogs, cats, and small pets were the first to show.
We had seven 4-Hers, Grace McCarty, Ann Mosberger, Remmington Naas, Keirann Nield, Jalynn Phillips, Kimberlyn Strickland, and Johanna Zieren receive blue ribbons for their dogs. Jalynn Phillips received a Best of Show and Superior, with Grace McCarty, Remmington Naas, and Johanna Zieren receiving a Superiors. Jalynn received a blue ribbon in Dog Obedience, and Remmington receiving a Best of Show.
Four 4-Hers, Kenley Davis, Ann Mosberger, Kimberlyn Strickland, and Brooklyn Thompson were judged and given blue ribbons for their cats with Ann Mosberger receiving a Best of Show and Superior. Kenley Davis and Kimberlyn Strickland also receiving a Superior. Of the small pets a tropical fish was shown by Brooklyn Thompson she received a blue ribbon and a Best of Show. Finley Weiss received a blue ribbon, Best of Show and a Superior with her tortoise.
