Already beloved in Carmi, Dr. Amy Dixon continues to rack up hardware for her efforts in the educational field. The Illinois Principals Association has bestowed the Harrisburg Superintendent with its prestigious Herman Graves Award. The award, established in 1991, recognizes outstanding service to the IPA. Herman Graves was selected as the first honoree and named for him based on contributions he made to the Association as well as his enthusiasm for the profession. Regional winners are chosen from the 21 districts and from those, a state winner is chosen by a committee composed of IPA Past Presidents.
