Dawgs Defeat Gallatin County; Improve to 5-0

The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team defeated Gallatin County Monday afternoon by a final score of 17-7.

The Bulldogs answered with one run in the bottom of the 1st on an RBI ground out by Merick Millhorn.

The Hawks added one more in the 2nd to extend their lead to 3-1, but that lead wouldn’t last long.

RBI base hits by Chad Burnett and Caleb Seibers in the bottom of the 2nd put the Bulldogs 4-3, and they wouldn’t give that lead up.

The Hawks didn’t give up without a fight, they scored once in the 4th and three more times in the 5th to cut Carmi’s lead to 11-7.

The Bulldogs were able to score 4 in the 5th and 2 more in the 6th to end the ballgame via the 10-run rule.
