A Dahlgren man is headed to prison following a plea deal reached in Hamilton County court Wednesday. States Attorney Justin Hood says 30 year old Johnathan Preston took a one county Class X Child Pornography plea deal Wednesday morning. Preston was arrested initially on November 28th of last year and originally released on Pretrial according to the Hamilton County lead prosecutor. Four lesser felony charges were dismissed as per the deal which resulted in the 20 year sentence for Preston. He was immediately taken into custody and transferred to the White County Jail pending another transfer into the Department of Corrections system. In addition to jail time, Preston was fined $2,500 plus court costs, will serve mandatory supervised release for a term of 3 years to life and he’ll be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. The case was investigated by Jefferson County Detective Bobby Wallace.
