Trey Mason and the CWCHS Golf Teams began their season on Thursday at the Mt. Carmel Invitational. The boys came away with a 3rd place finish, while the girls took home 4th place. On the boys side, the team finished with a total score of 396. Zack Roark shot a combined 96 (46, 50), Gage Attebury finished with a 101 (50, 51), Conner Newell with a team best 95 (50, 45), Maxon O’Daniel shot a 104 (56, 48), Travor Mason shot a 107 (53, 54) and Gabe Winkleman rounded things out for CWC with a 112 (55, 57).
For the girls, they finished with a total score of 481. Ava Shiever shot a team best 112 (58, 54), Maeve Atteberry shot a 127 (61, 66), Saylor Mason finished with a 120 (66, 54), Courtney Snow with a 122 (63, 59), Kinley Carter shot a 131 (63, 68), and Sadie Balding finished with a 131 (66, 65).
Both golf teams will have the weekend off. The boys will host NCOE on Monday, while the girls welcome in Massac County at the Carmi Country Club.
