The Village of Crossville officially kicked off the holiday season this past Sunday afternoon as Winterfest Royalty was selected at the former Crossville high school.
Crossville will continue its holiday celebrations this weekend as the annual lighted parade is set for 6 Saturday night. Entries are encouraged to light their float or entry in celebration of the season. By the way, the special guest of the evening will be Santa Claus and he will have a coveted place in the parade. Santa will then visit with the Crossville kids, young and old, following the parade.
A number of other activities continue including the house decorating contest, a Christmas bake off, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing, a basket raffle and a Christmas tree contest. There will also be a giant vendor fair at the former high school building Saturday afternoon, running from about 2 until 8 that evening.
Additional details of the Crossville celebration are available on the Crossville Winterfest Facebook page.
One may also call the Crossville Village Office for additional details.
