A Crossville man is behind bars after a Domestic Disturbance resulted in his arrest by White County Sheriff’s authorities Sunday night. Deputies were called to a residence on Cross Street in Crossville Sunday just after 9pm after someone alerted them to a man and woman out in the road having a verbal altercation. While talking to the caller, the officer was advised Ward was watching from the corner of a residence. Ward had an active warrant according to the report dating back to a charge from September of 2021. That case involved a guilty plea to Domestic Battery and what would later be dismissed charges of Aggravated Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and Disorderly Conduct. Officers took Ward into custody and placed him at the White County Jail where he remains on $500 bond. A status hearing has been set in White County court for Monday at 9am.
