The White County Sheriff’s Department filed a report on Criminal Damage to Property over the weekend. On Saturday, October 31st at around 6:45 PM, an Officer spoke via telephone with 36 year old Dawn M Schexnayder of 205 Sheridan Street in Maunie who reported that someone had damaged her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway.
Schexnayder stated that she and her husband, 48 year Adam J Schexnayder were certain that damage was not present when her husband parked the vehicle in the driveway. Dawn advised that it a looked as though someone had struck the vehicle with a metal object or hammer and she believed that someone may have been attempting to pry open one of the vehicle’s door. Adam stated that he had been outside the residence when he heard the car alarm. Adam then checked the vehicle and observed the damage but no one in the area. Dawn stated that she would forward pictures of the damage and registration information for the vehicle.
The Officer advised Dawn that an incident report would be completed and placed on file at the White County Sheriff’s office.
