The White County Sheriff’s Department reported criminal damage to property that took place Wednesday night at the residence and building owned by Levi Crawford at 105 Fifth Street in Crossville. Crawford said he came home from work at about 9:30 that night to find damage to the corner of his storage shed, and that the paneling had been torn off. Also, the screws from the underpinning on the residence had been removed, and the screens on the windows had been ripped out and/or bent. Crawford said he didn’t know who caused the damage, but he did have trouble with a neighbor when he first moved in but hasn’t since. He said he purchased the residence around June of this year.
The investigation is ongoing.
