Complete Schedule Announced for Wabash Roots’N’Que

It’s going to be one jam-packed day on Market Street in Mt. Carmel, Illinois on Saturday, June 18th for the 2022 Edition of Wabash Roots’N’Que!

The full schedule for both stages, one outdoor and one indoor, has now been released. Here is the line-up for the Main Stage, hosted on the Harris Insurance Pavilion in Merchants Park, including time, performer and sponsor:

12:30pm The Woolseys from Petersburg IN. (Bluegrass) – COMPREHENSIVE DENTAL CARE

2:45pm Smoke On The Wabash BBQ Competition Awards – SPARKLIGHT

3pm The Backyard BBQ Band from Champaign IL (Blues and Swing) – WABASH COUNTY TOURISM

4:15pm Los Texano’z from Arthur IL. (Tex-Mex Music) – ST. JOHN’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

5:45pm Creole Stomp (New Orleans-Cajun) – MT. CARMEL STABILIZATION

7pm The Sternwheelers from Nashville TN (Celtic-Irish Folk) – MOTORAD

8:30pm Mel Tillis Jr. & The Memory Makers from Nashville TN (Country) Grammy Nominated Country Artist and Songwriter – FIRST NATIONAL BANK

 

The Workshop Stage, hosted just a few steps from Merchants Park in the Wabash County Museum, will open on the following schedule:

11am “Instrument Petting Zoo & Guitar Workshop” w/Doug Hawf & Robb Krumm – CASEY’S

11:45am “Songwriting” Workshop with The Woolsey’s – AMY PETTYJOHN – BROKER, STORCKMAN REALTY

12:45pm “Story Of The Blues” presented by Ivas John – ILLINOIS ARTS COUNCIL

2pm Wabash Strings Ensemble “Classical Performance” – MOUNT CARMEL PUBLIC UTILITY

3pm “Tex-Mex Accordion from the Southwest” Workshop with Los Texano’z – DEE DRILLING

4pm “Irish-Celtic Instruments in the Modern Age” Workshop with The Sternwheelers – DEE DRILLING

5-5:30pm “Meet & Greet” with Headliner Mel Tillis Jr. – FIRST NATIONAL BANK (Open to the Public)

 

On Market Street, you’ll also find RNQ’s Backyard BBQ Competition, “Smoke On The Wabash”, Southern Illinois Cornhole hosting the RNQ Cornhole Tournament (sign-ups online or begining at 12pm, with bags flying at 1pm). Multiple Food, Arts, Crafts and Home Business vendors on the street throughout the day, and the Wabash County Farmers Market, open from 8am to 11am.
