The Southern Illinois Coaches Association has announced the All-South Teams for the 2023 Fall Sports Season.
After a record-breaking, historic season, the Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs were very well represented on this year’s 2A list.
Sophomore Caroline Simmons, junior Lauren Burzynski and senior Mara Serafini were all named to the SICA 2A Volleyball All-South team.
Head coach Chris Lucas was named the SICA 2A Volleyball All-South Coach of the Year.
Lucas posted on his Facebook page after discovering his award, “I am humbled to be named Coach of the Year. I am truly blessed with awesome players and assistant coaches!”
Congratulations to Caroline, Lauren, Mara and Coach Lucas for an outstanding achievement!
