The Cherry Street Baptist Church Food Pantry scheduled for today, has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 25 from 9-11 am.
Albion Moose Family Center kitchen will be open this Friday February 19 but will not be serving Fried Chicken
Republic Trash Services in Carmi has resumed. They began Wednesday with Monday’s route and hope to catch-up by the end of the week.
Bashore Trash Service in Fairfield will not be operating. Trash service will resume the next week.
The Edwards County Republicans have decided to postpone their Lincoln Day Dinner that was scheduled for Friday, February 19, by one week. The dinner will be Friday, February 26, still at the Exhibition Building at Albion.
The Wayne County 4-H Foundation Drive Thru Fish Fry scheduled for Friday is being postponed until a later date.
In Edwards County, Albion and West Salem Senior Centers are open for home delivered meals and picking up meals to go. No congregate meals or activities are allowed yet, due to Covid. Call the Centers to check on building accessibility due to all the snow. Grayville will remain closed through Friday. Fairfield will be open for in town meal delivery only.
The White County Soil and Water Conservation District’s Landowner Appreciation lunch and Director Election that was scheduled for today has been postponed until Thursday, February 25. It will be held at the Floral Hall of the fairgrounds. Landowners or occupiers of White County of legal voting age may vote for two Directors between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. Between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm, McPeak Fish Market will provide free carryout fish dinners. CDC and public health guidelines will be observed, and those attending are requested to drive up and remain in their vehicles.
The Edwards County CUSD #1 Board Meeting scheduled for tonight has been postponed until Monday, February 22, 2021.
The regular Board of Education meeting of Carmi-White County CUSD No. 5, originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2021, has been rescheduled to Monday, February 22, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the Jr/Sr High School cafeteria.
The Hamilton County board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 has been rescheduled due to pending weather for Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Highway meeting will be at 5:15 in the jury room next to the old highway office and the regular board meeting will be at 6:00 in the courtroom .
The NCOE school board meeting that was scheduled for February 17 is being rescheduled for February 24 at 5:00 pm at the high school.
