Lige Cheek was pulled over on January 17 for failure to signal when turning. During the stop, Cheek was cited for operating a vehicle while registration suspended. The officer noticed an “Ole Smoky Moonshine” bottle in the middle console, and saw a crystal like substance at the bottom. The officer took it to his vehicle and ran a field test, which came back positive for Methamphetamine. The vehicle was towed and Cheek was taken to the White County Jail for Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, Failure to Signal when Required, Operating Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration-Mandatory Insurance Violation, and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
