Two Carmi women are being held behind bars while awaiting an appearance before Judge Webb Tuesday morning following their arrest. 20-year-old Adalin Roberts of Kerney and 30-year-old India Batty of Sycamore were taken into custody by Carmi Police just before 4pm Monday at Batty’s residence. Both women were charged with Domestic Battery with Roberts picking up an additional felony Battery charge alleged for her part in the fight with another individual. The report also lists unnamed suspects including a 23-year-old black male and a 36-year-old white female, though they’re not facing charges.
