Carmi White County School Board Approves Salary Increases During Executive Session

The Carmi White County School Board held a closed session following their regular monthly meeting Monday evening.

Pat Thombleson was employed as a Special Education Individual Aide at Brownsville Attendance Center to fill the vacancy created by the reassignment of Shalene Walker, Demi Beuligmann was employed as the Elementary Music Teacher to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Brittany Cox and Samantha Sutton was employed as an Elementary Teacher at Washington Attendance Center to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Corey Ackerman all for the 2023-2024 school year.

Teresa Scroggins was employed as a Special Education Teacher at Washington Attendance Center to fill the vacancy created by the reassignment of Jessica Mason and Rhanda Abrahmason was employed as a Special Education Individual Aide at Washington Attendance Center to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Teresa Melton, all for the 2023-2024 school year.

At the High School, Chad Whitley was employed as a High School CTE Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Hannah Roe-Gottman, Cindy Francis was reassigned from a Junior High School Math Teacher to a High School Math Teacher, pending certification, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Cammie Pollard and Travis Black was approved as a Volunteer High School Assistant Basketball Coach for the 2023-2024 school year.

The Board approved a salary increase for the Unit Office Staff and the Director of Maintenance.

Amy Attebury, Todd Haley, Bart King, Lacey Moore and Kathy Price all received a 5.75 % increase in their salaries for the 2023-2024 school year due to realignment and absorption duties.
