Carmi residential trash customers are reminded there are two holidays coming up that will affect trash pickup in the city. Those are Monday, Christmas Day, Dec. 25 and New Year’s Day, Monday, jan. 1, 2024.
Because the holidays fall on a Monday, trash pickup will be delayed and the trash service will be running multiple routes on the same day.
If your trash is missed on your normal pickup day, it will be picked up the next day.
The City of Carmi apologized for the inconveniece and thanked everyone for their cooperation.
