The Carmi Rotary Club is getting an event in just under the wire with Illinois’ slide backwards to Tier 3. Rotary president Dr. Patrick Haskell says the chili supper will be a drive through event this Friday, November 20th from 5p – 7pm. Folks are encouraged to swing through East Side Package in Carmi and pick up a quart of chili for $10. The Carmi Rotary Club uses funds raised for a variety of community and global initiatives…specifically 6 avenues including: Growing Local Economies, Supporting Education, Supporting/Saving Mothers and Children, Providing Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Fighting Disease, and Promoting Peace.
