Carmi Police Working to Keep Drugs off Streets

A Princeton, Indiana woman and a Carmi woman are facing charges following a traffic stop in Carmi Monday evening.  According to police, 43 year old Angela Goff and 28 year old Billie Jean Voliva were pulled over on Main Street at Banterra Bank just before 8:30pm.  Goff was subsequently arrested for driving while license suspended and possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle.  She would bond out to the tune of $250 plus booking fee about 2 hours later.  Voliva, meanwhile, faces 3 felony charges.  She’s accused of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, unlawful use of property, and possession of a controlled substance.  Voliva was also wanted on a traffic related warrant out of Washington County and faces an additional misdemeanor charge of possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle.  She remains behind bars as of Tuesday morning.
