A Carmi woman is out on Pre Trial release following her arrest on a Richland County warrant Tuesday afternoon. It was just before 5:30 when 39-year-old Savannah Earl of Elm Street was arrested by Carmi Police at her home. The warrant is in relation to a Possession of Methamphetamine, less than 5 grams charge. Online court records don’t exist for the case as of 8:30 Wednesday morning. Earl was booked and released within 2 hours. She’ll be due in court in Olney at 9am on September 10th.
Carmi Police took a theft report from Melinda Newman Tuesday afternoon. Shortly after 5pm, Melinda Newman told officers someone stole a trash can from a 5th Street residence. She says she no longer lives at the home.
