Carmi Police Reports
Carmi Police were busy Wednesday morning, receiving a report of criminal damage and making an arrest for a driving violation.
Early Wednesday morning, a few minutes before 1 o’clock, a traffic stop near the intersection of Burrell and Gilpin Street resulted in the arrest of Algeana (Al-gene-ah) R. Collard, 49, of 508 Smith Drive, Carmi.
Collard was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended.
Collard posted $250 cash bond and was released from custody.
Around 6 o’clock Wednesday morning, Lance Yearby of 513 Abelson Drive, Carmi, reported someone had keyed his truck overnight.
That investigation continues.
