Just before 6pm Monday night, Carmi Police arrested 55 year old Everett J Caine of Carmi at his residence on Second Street on a White County warrant for unlawful violation of the Lead Poisoning Prevention Act. Caine was transported to the White County Jail where he was later released after posting a $150 bond.
43 year old William E Batty of Carmi turned himself into the Carmi Police Department at 7:49pm Monday to answer a warrant issued for him on a charge of aggravated battery. Batty was transferred to the custody of White County Jail officers and was released after posting a $1000 cash bond.
