51 year old Merle Andrew Bartley of Burrell Street is behind bars following his arrest Thursday night in Carmi. Police say they arrested Bartley near his home at about a quarter after 7pm on a warrant for Felony Theft with a Prior Conviction. Bartley is behind bars without bond.
A Hamilton County man is out on Pre-Trial release following detainment on a traffic stop late Wednesday night. 46 year old Bobbijo Butler of Broughton was picked up just before 11:30pm on Main near Subway and detained on a traffic stop for Driving while License Revoked. In addition, Butler was cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance. He was in court Thursday morning for a first appearance on the Class 4 felony. Butler was also arrested back in July and is facing charges of Aggravated DUI among others. He’s next due in court for formal arraignment and a preliminary hearing next Wednesday (October 4th) at 10am.
