A Carmi man will be spending the next five years behind bars following a three hour sentencing hearing in White County Court Wednesday. 25 year old William Scott South pled guilty to a charge of theft of a motorcycle in September.
In addition to the five year sentence in the Department of Corrections, South faces a year of mandatory supervised release following incarceration and was ordered to make restitution to the victim. South was represented by Brian Shinkle and the case was prosecuted by States Attorney Denton Aud.
