The Carmi Police Department arrested 24 year old Nathan Johnson on Friday night on charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Johnson was taken into custody at his residence at 803 N Seventh Street just before 7pm. Johnson is currently being held at the White County Jail.
Friday morning, a 17 year old male subject was taken into custody by the Carmi Police Department at Carmi White County High School on charges of possession of ammunition without a FOID card, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were called to the school because of a report of improper parking. The items were discovered in the vehicle in question, and the juvenile was arrested.
