A Carmi man received a two year sentence in Hamilton County Court on Thursday after pleading guilty to a charge of criminal damage to property. 23 year old Kyle Buchanan of Carmi was charged after McLeansboro police alleged he damage the door of a residence in the Meadow Hills neighborhood on October 22nd last year. Buchanan was sentenced last month in White County Court to two years in prison on a criminal trespass charge. This new sentence will run concurrent with his current sentence.
27 year old Devion Henderson of East St. Louis was sentenced to four years in prison in Hamilton County Court on a charge of obstructing justice. Henderson was arrested by McLeansboro Police on December 15th, and gave officers a false name to hide an active warrant in St. Clair County. Henderson is currently in the St. Clair County Jail awaiting trial there on other charges.
